Roundabouts and give-way intersections are the single most common reason a learner stalls on progress, usually because they were taught a sequence rather than a read. This lesson works a handful of real Logan roundabouts repeatedly, at different times and traffic levels, until speed, gap, mirror and indicate happens without being talked through.

Every lesson: 60 min. You always know which part you're on.

  1. 01 Start on a quiet single-lane roundabout to reset the sequence
  2. 02 Add traffic and a second lane once the first one is automatic
  3. 03 Work two or three unmarked give-way intersections nearby
  4. 04 Talk through any hesitation immediately after it happens
  5. 05 Sign the logbook and flag whether the skill needs another lesson

Why do roundabouts take a whole separate lesson?

Because they are read, not memorised, and that only sinks in with repetition on real roundabouts rather than one attempt inside a standard lesson.

Do you use the same roundabouts every time?

Mostly, to begin with. A learner who is solid on a familiar roundabout at different traffic levels transfers that skill to an unfamiliar one far more easily than one who has only seen it once.

Is this lesson only for beginners?

No. It is one of the more common refresher bookings from returning and older drivers too, since roundabout rules have changed more than once.
