02 Learner
Standard driving lesson
The regular lesson once the fundamentals are set: mixed traffic, give ways, lane changes and the habits that hold up under pressure.
Once hand position and mirror timing are set, lessons move into mixed conditions: pulling out and joining traffic, lane changes, multi-lane roads, give-way judgement and the kind of ordinary driving that makes up most of a real trip. Sixty minutes suits most weekly bookings; ninety minutes suits a learner building distance quickly or catching up after a break.

02How it runs
Step by step, in this order
Every lesson: 60 or 90 min. You always know which part you're on.
- 01 Check in on what felt hardest since the last lesson
- 02 Warm up on a familiar street before moving into new conditions
- 03 Work the skill that needs the most attention that week
- 04 Finish on a calmer stretch so the lesson ends on a good rep
- 05 Sign the logbook and note what to work on next
How often should lessons be booked?
Weekly works for most learners building toward a test date. Fortnightly is fine if there is no deadline, though skills fade faster with a longer gap.
Can I choose 60 or 90 minutes each time?
Yes, lesson by lesson. Ninety minutes suits a learner who wants to cover more ground per booking rather than spread it over more weeks.
Do you drive on the motorway in a standard lesson?
Not usually. Motorway driving is introduced closer to test readiness, once give-way judgement and lane changes are solid on ordinary roads.
